Duluth Curling Club (DCC) 

Gold Medal Lounge Manager – Position Profile 

The Executive Board of the DCC have identified the following characteristics and requirements expected of the  Duluth Curling Gold Medal Lounge Manager. This is a seasonal position. The individual will be required primarily October-March with some pre/post season work and touchpoints in the off-season. 

Relevant experience preferred. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

⎯ Provide assistance to members, guests, staff, and others, demonstrating integrity and respect in all interactions. ⎯ Build relationships with members and provide a positive and fun atmosphere in the lounge. ⎯ Hire, train and schedule employees for normal business and special events. 

⎯ Responsible for Payroll and other cash responsibilities. 

⎯ Manage Inventory Weekly (order, receive, monitor, and maintain sufficient levels) 

o Food and Beer: Order / Deliveries 2 times per week  

o Liquor, Pop, Dry Storage: Order / Deliveries 1 time per week  

o Cleaning Supplies (general, club, ice crew): Order/Deliveries 1 time per week. 

⎯ Develop food menu, including daily specials. 

⎯ Support General Mgr (GM) and be acting-GM when GM is not present. 

⎯ Host bonspiels or other special events, providing banquet food and drinks for duration of event. ⎯ Attend Board meetings to present on behalf of the Gold Medal Lounge. 

⎯ General duties as needed for the facility; to include deep cleaning lounge prior to closure at the end of the  season. 

⎯ Maintain equipment and/or communicate equipment needs to the Board/Trustees. 

Schedule Expectations: 

⎯ Available to accept food and beverage deliveries Tuesday – Friday 9am-2pm 

⎯ Flexible to fill evening shifts as needed during leagues, or to backfill employee absences (daily 3pm- 1am) ⎯ Flexible to work bonspiels and special events for the duration of event. 

To ensure success, performance will be reviewed at least once annually to give all parties the opportunity to drive  improvements in the best interest of the DCC.
