Hello Curlers,
As we plan to reopen the club for leagues this coming Sunday (Jan. 24) we have a few updates to share with you.
Leauge Rule Updates:
1. Leauge rules will call for only one sweeper for a 4 member team.
2. Leagues will only play 6 end games to allow for safer play, more time to disinfect the ice, and give players more time to get on and off the ice between games.
3. We suggest that the player not sweeping help out the bar by being "bottle skip." This person can help get the drinks for the team.
Board Elections:
The General Board and Women's Board elections will be held again via survey. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you are interested in running.
Thank you in advance for serving your club.
Good curling,
DCC

Hello Members,
The outside door from the DECC will be locked on Fridays and Saturdays until we are able to get a card access system installed. We hope to get this taken care of soon, but until then, there is no available practice time on Fridays or Saturdays.
We apologize for the inconvenience but we hope to get this rectified as soon as possible.
- DCC
Please read the rules and protocols for curling that are posted all around the club.
In short, curlers must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times when on the ice. No exceptions. They must socially space as much as possible. Teams waiting to get on the ice after one league is finishing must not come on the ice until the other teams are off their sheet. Teams should also be wiping down their rocks before and after each game.
If teams can not adhere to the mask rule, they are subject to forfeiture of their game. Continued nonadherence will result in that team's disqualification from the league.
If players continue to disregard these rules, it will just be a matter of time before we see a COVID positive case or an outbreak, which will close our club for at least 2 weeks.
If you see something, say something, or report it to the office.
Thank you,
DCC
This year's parking passes are available to be purchased. Passes are $65. Please stop into the DCC office to purchase yours. If you have any questions, please contact Dick at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Hello Curlers,

Greetings Curlers!
The Board of Directors for the Duluth Curling Club have voted to open for the 2020-21 season.
The decison to open was made with the health and safety of our members at the forefront. Our protocol
committee is hard at work preparing guidelines for play during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will
rely on the advice of the CDC, the MDH and the USCA for this unusual year and hopefully none of us
will have to go through this again in our lifetimes.
For more information in the coming days, check the DCC Facebook page, your emails and the DCC website.
